This third time in Casa Cor Perú was very special for many reasons. At that time, I was sharing office space with an architect from Lima, Fernando Castell. We decided to participate designing the store of ONG for children with different skills.
The message that we wanted to convey was: “Behind everything is children”.
This was a huge challenge, with an old house with untouchable wood covers on very fragile walls.
We placed a very irregular structure of pine beams, which transformed the old space into a very modern shape. With indirect lighting we illuminated big black & white pictures of children smiling. In the end, the jury didn’t award us the prize, but Fernando & I felt like we’d won despite.
